Community Hub in KwaNoloji/Somerset East

In May 2026, we were delighted to launch Kuzuko’s community hub in Somerset East (also known as KwaNojoli). KwaNoloji/Somerset East is the closest major town to Kuzuko Private Game Reserve, and home to many of Kuzuko’s employees, mentees, and families.

The hub represents an important milestone in our foundation’s mission to create lasting social and environmental impact in the Eastern Cape: it provides a permanent base from which we can deepen our engagement with local people and respond directly to community needs.

Located in the heart of town, our hub is a welcoming, inclusive and accessible space designed to inspire, support, empower and connect. It serves as a centre for learning and mentorship, with current activities including:

• Environmental education to help young people develop a deeper understanding of the natural world, foster environmental stewardship, and build a lasting connection with nature.

• CV writing and interview preparation support to build confidence and improve employment prospects for job seekers.

• Career talks and skills sessions featuring professionals from a range of industries, helping to broaden horizons and showcase potential career pathways.

• A home for our Pathfinders mentoring programme, which provides guidance, encouragement and practical support to local young people as they plan their futures.

• Women’s support group, with a space for ladies to meet and discuss any needs and a place to further themselves as well as the women around them.

As the hub grows, we look forward to expanding the range of support on offer, shaped by the needs of the local community. Our aim is to create a vibrant centre where people can learn, access new opportunities and develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
